Established in Shropshire in 1969, Filtermist’s ethos is to protect people by ensuring cleaner, safer, more productive working environments. The company, part of the Swedish Absolent Group, provides an extensive range of products and services designed to ensure the air in production facilities is free from contaminants such as oil mist, oil smoke, dust, fume and VOCs.  If left in the atmosphere airborne particles can be hazardous to health and can pose a fire and slip risk.

Extraction systems

Filtermist is best known for manufacturing a range of compact, quiet and efficient oil mist filters which are trusted by world leading manufacturers in more than 60 countries. Filtermist is also the UK distributor for premium filtration equipment for oil mist, oil smoke, dust and fume from sister company Absolent AB.

Turnkey service

In the UK, Filtermist provides a full turnkey service for standalone and centralised extraction systems – from initial consultation and planning, to design, specification, manufacture and supply, installation, commissioning, and aftersales support. All aspects are carefully managed by NEBOSH, P601, P602 and P604 accredited engineers to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards, on time and within budget.

 Other manufactured brands

In addition to its own brand of oil mist filters, Filtermist is also the UK distributor for sister company Absolent AB, and manufactures product brands including Dustcheck process and venting filters, and Kerstar industrial vacuum cleaners which include ATEX and Type H rated models for use in potentially explosive atmospheres and for cleaning up dusts which are hazardous to health. Filtermist is part of the Absolent Air Care Group.

COSHH compliant LEV Testing

COSHH Regulations require most LEV systems to be thoroughly tested by a competent person at least once every 14 months. Call 01952 290500 to book a comprehensive COSHH compliant LEV Test with one of Filtermist’s P601 accredited LEV Engineers.
